The Lekwa Municipality issued a notice to residents on 24 November about an electricity interruption on Sunday, 3 December.

A planned shutdown of supply will occur between 8am and 5pm.

The reasons given are the installation of a breaker for the Standerton Water Treatment Plant, connection to an electricity line and maintenance at substation B.

Affected areas will be Standerton, Florapark, Kosmospark, the CBD, Goldi Factory and Jonkersdam Farm line.

The municipality apologised for any inconvenience that it may cause.
