Sakhile Police clamp down on weapon and ammunition

The recovered gun and ammunition.

Sakhile Police arrested one man in connection with possession of an unlicensed firearm and two men for possession of ammunition on 11 April.

Mr Sifiso Ngwenya was charged with the first crime and Messrs Xolani Khumalo (82 rounds) and Jacob Mkhaliphi (50 rounds) were charged with the second.

The suspects were granted R1 000 bail each in the Standerton Magistrate’s Court on 12 April.

They are between the ages of 20 to 30.
