No other items were reported stolen and the crime took place at around 11am.
In light of the pending investigations, a rumour that the knife disappeared from evidence surfaced.
“Upon opening a case, the suspect claimed that we assaulted him,” KSS said.
“The woman asked to use the toilet, which is suspected to be the time of the robbery,” KSS said.
The couple, both aged 23, will appear again on 3 December.
According to police, they arrived at his premises to arrest him and the suspect refused.

The Standerton Magistrate’s Court set bail at R1 000, but according to Brig Mngomezulu, these officers will not return to their positions as there is an ongoing criminal investigation.
KSS was responding to the alarm when they apprehended the suspect.
According to the Standerton Police, the cattle were found in Ext 2, along with two men suspected of the theft.
